Abstract
Aragon is a Spanish autonomous community located in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula where two languages are spoken in addition to Spanish: Aragonese and Catalan. Both languages have a sociolinguistic minority language status in Aragon and have a very limited legal protection. The objective of this work is to contribute data to the analysis of the sociolinguistic situation of Catalan in Aragon, especially among the younger generations, and to analyse the influence of the most relevant literacy contexts, family and educational, on knowledge and use of this language.
